Been messing with sherry for a little bit now and trying to incorporate it where I can. So far this is my favorite iteration of a riff I've been working on the past couple months utilizing the nutty dry flavor of an Amontillado sherry. @11wellsspirits makes a wonderful Sherry and Bourbon cask finished Rhum Agricole and I knew it needed paired with it's wine namesake. So! Playing on the nutty dry side, I figured a Mai Tai would be a great way to showcase it. I also just got a bottle of Apricot liquer by @norsemandistillery and that's what honestly made this the final cut today subbing it for orange curacao. Bout a month ago I had a can of Dr. Pepper Strawberries and Cream that my wife and I were gonna split. Tried it, and instantly knew it needed mixed and I thought an Americano riff would be 👌👌👌 I really dont mix much with soda, i like fresh natural ingredients, but damn after mixing the sweet Vermouth with a nice apritivo and topping it with the Dr. Pepper?? Been a fun challenge this month coming up with these mocktails to post as this is the most I've thought of NA cocktails and I love it!
